Today i found quite a interesting interview on youtube. Ira Glass shares some insights in storytelling, and after that some general stuff about art. I found this in the first place while looking for some storytelling and -writing tips for my pen&paper Vampire circle, but it got me some new views on the way i percieve and create any kind of artwork, it´s just amazing.
Especialy interesting was the chapter about the disparity of our taste and our skill, and that it is vital to accept one´s own mediocrity as a step to becoming better. Yet at the same time to not lower one´s standards to meet the level of what we can already create.
